Hey!

I have recently created a youtube video in which I have attempted to teach the technique to solve the Rubik’s cube. This is the link: https://youtu.be/tI2Qmzl53xw

This is the algorithm, step-wise which you will need to solve it:

Step 1: Create a pattern of a yellow centre with four white pieces surrounding it. (or as I like to call it: a daisy)

Step 2: Align the respective coloured pieces and turn your front block down 180 degrees.

Step 3: Fill in the white corner pieces.

Step 4: Fill second row of all phases with respective colours.

Step 5: Complete the yellow cross on the bottom of Rubik’s cube using the following algorithm:

F-C

U-C

R-C

U-CC

R-CC

F-CC

(F-front, R-right, U-upper) (C-clockwise, CC-counter-clockwise)

Step 5: Complete the entire yellow phase using the following algorithm:

R-C

U-C

R-CC

U-C

R-C

U-2 times

R-C

Step 6: Fill the two corner pieces of remaining four sides using the following algorithm:

R-CC

F-C

R-CC

B-2 times

R-C

F-CC

R-CC

B-2 times

R-2 times

(B-back phase)

Step 7 (last step….YAY!): Fill in the centre pieces with respective colours using the following algorithm.

R-2 times

U-C

R-C

U-C

R-CC

U-CC

rc LOL!

Now let’s get to 5 fun facts about these Rubik’s cubes that we dread so much!

  1. Rubik, who invented the Rubik’s cube to explain concepts of geometry, took an entire month to solve it himself!
  2. Over 350 million Rubik’s cubes have been sold worldwide, making it the most popular toy in the world.
  3. A Rubik’s cube has over 43,252,003,274,489,856,000 possible configurations!
  4. The current world record holder is Mats Valk from the Netherlands, who completed the puzzle in 5.55 seconds.
  5. A three-year-old in China solved the puzzle in under two minutes.
